Let me answer your question with some questions!
-Give us the basic rundown. What’s your name, where are you from and what are you about?
Howdy, my name is Stanley William Jones and I’m from Lincoln, Nebraska. I am 21 years of age and I am completely and utterly in love with photography.
-Where did you come from?
I ask myself this question every day! I picked up an old Minolta AL rangefinder camera from my old man’s tool shed one weekend during my senior year of high school (class of ’08) and I just started carrying around that camera everywhere I went. I started off photographing my friends at the skatepark, out on spelunking adventures, in parking lots… pretty much every time the car stopped, my finger was on the shutter button. For some reason when I was young I always felt out of place just being one of the kids hanging out, but for the first time in my life, actually documenting the situations, I felt as though I had found my home. I kept shooting until graduation day which is when I received my first digital SLR camera, and that’s when it all started…. ahhhhh. *looks into the sky, blindly, reminiscing*
-What type of photography do you specialize in?
All types of portraiture, really. I love shooting weddings, I always tear up when I shoot them (haha), but that day in a person’s life is one of the happiest that they will experience and assisting them in the memories of that day is more than a person could ask for! High school seniors and I get along very well, also; being a young and fun photographer always makes the day with the senior stress-free and genuine. I’m a people person so any time I’m given the opportunity to hang out and shoot somebody I’m happy, so as a photographer I also offer modeling portfolios/additions, headshots, outdoor family portraits, press photos for music groups, and if I’ve got a free day, professional candids.
-If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Can I have two words, please???
-Nope, just one.
Geeze, fine, this whole ‘self-interview’ thing is getting ridiculous. Though I AM a very driven, personable, fun, creative, and friendly person, I’m going to have to say, “Photographer”
-Are you kidding me?
If I answered ‘yes’ I’d be kidding myself, and I’m not that kind of guy, nor am I the kind of guy to have conversations with himself…. uhhh, next question!
-Have you ever offended a client because of your tattoos?
Not yet!
-On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you like sauerkraut?
